The conversations shaping the next decade of real estate, mobility and energy
Keynote
The Property as a Power Plant
How charging infrastructure becomes real estate's next revenue stream
Charging infrastructure has long been viewed as a necessary investment—an expense required to meet tenant expectations and future regulations. But the economics are changing.
In this keynote, ChargeNode explores how EV charging, energy storage and vehicle-to-grid (V2G) technologies are transforming charging infrastructure from a cost centre into a strategic business asset. Drawing on insights from one of Sweden's largest charging networks, the session highlights how property owners can unlock new value through smart energy management, flexibility markets and emerging revenue models.
Key takeaways
- How V2G and smart charging can impact property value and operating income
- Which revenue opportunities are becoming commercially viable—and which remain hype
- What property owners should prioritize today to avoid tomorrow's energy bottlenecks
Spotlight
The Future Energy System
What property owners need to know about electrification, flexibility and grid readiness
The rapid electrification of transport, buildings and industry is transforming the energy landscape. At the same time, new technologies, market mechanisms and regulatory changes are creating opportunities that barely existed a few years ago.
In this session, Johanna Lakso, CEO of Power Circle, shares insights from some of Sweden's most influential initiatives and research projects within electrification, smart charging, flexibility markets and the future power system.
For property owners, the implications are significant: charging infrastructure, batteries, energy management systems and connected assets are becoming increasingly important parts of both business strategy and long-term asset value.
Key takeaways
- How electrification is reshaping the energy system
- The growing role of smart charging, flexibility and V2X
- What grid constraints mean for future property development
- Which trends and technologies are likely to shape the coming decade

Highlights from 2024 & 2025
John Wastring
"Norway’s success wasn’t about advanced technology — it was about basic economics, local incentives, and a clear decision to invest. AC charging is the new fiber. It’s simply expected."
John Wastring is CEO of Zaptec Sweden, where he leads the company’s mission to accelerate the shift toward electric mobility through smart, scalable charging solutions.
In his 2025 keynote, “Norway’s E-Mobility Success – A Playbook for Scandinavia or a One-Off?”, John shared lessons from Norway’s journey toward leading EV adoption and charging infrastructure. Building on Zaptec’s roots in Norway he highlighted the key factors—such as policies, business models, and technological innovations—that made it possible, and reflected on what Swedish property owners and stakeholders can apply when shaping their own sustainable and profitable e-mobility strategies.
Bringing together perspectives from technology, business, and policy, John offered practical insights into how the real estate sector can contribute to Scandinavia’s broader energy and mobility transition.
My Näslund
"Property owners can move from being passive consumers to active participants in the energy system — turning their assets into revenue-generating resources."
My Näslund is Business Developer at Flower, a Swedish next-gen energy company that leverages AI and machine learning to redefine how renewable energy is managed.
With an M.Sc. in Environmental Engineering from Lund University, My has dedicated her career to energy systems, sustainability, and the smart use of resources. Her academic and professional journey reflects a deep passion for renewable energy production and innovative energy management solutions.
In her 2025 keynote "The Future is Flexible: Redefining Energy Management in Real Estate", My explored how flexibility and AI-driven energy optimization can turn volatility and rising costs into new business opportunities.
